Please fill out the new permission slip and send it back on Monday. If you already paid online or sent payment, please still return the NEW permission slip. Fall conferences begin on Monday. Mystery Reader is on Fridays at 1:50. Discovery Lab is once a month. 3-5 volunteers are needed for each time we go to the Discovery Lab. If you did not get her previous emails about signing up, please email Jennifer at [email protected]. The children are doing great learning their sight words. Please make sure that you go back to previous cards to review sight words already learned. Please also point out sight words in books when reading aloud. Have a wonderful weekend! Reading -letters g (hard and soft sounds) and i (short and long sounds) -sight word: you -soil -writing a sentence about a topic -theme: leaves Math -counting sets, counting forward, counting to 100 by ones and tens, 1 more/less than a number We worked very hard on our writing this week. Be sure to check out Seesaw for our scarecrow writing! The children are doing a great job learning their sight words. Be sure to practice reading them in a text. Point out the words when reading aloud to your child and have them read the words to you within a sentence. Fall conferences are around the corner. Please review the packet of papers, sign the top copy, and return the entire packet to school on Monday. The September Homework Calendar is due at the end of the month. Please keep all homework until the end of the month. Please only do a little bit each day. Today we visited the Book Fair and created Wish Lists. We will go back to the Book Fair on Tuesday at 1:30. If you would like to purchase books, please send money with a list of books your child would like to purchase. The Book Fair will also be open tonight at the Ice Cream Social. Please continue to work on sight words each day and read aloud with your child. |
