Reading -fairy tales -story elements/comparing story elements -word family: -et -nutrition Math -review of shapes -comparing shapes -creating with shapes Over the last few weeks, several children are coming in the room after the bell rings. Please make sure your child arrives at school with plenty of time to arrive in our classroom, unpack, and be ready to begin our day by 7:40. Sign and return papers came home yesterday. Please return the packets of papers on Monday if you still have them at home. The November homework packet was due today. Please return the November homework on Monday if you have not returned it yet. The December homework calendar will come home on Monday. We will go to the media center on December 7th. Please return all books by that date. We will go to the Discovery Lab on December 14th. Look out for a sign up for volunteers coming from Jennifer Morrow soon. Our last day before our winter break is December 20th. If you are planning to travel out of town early and your child will miss school, please let me know so that I can plan accordingly. Thank you! Reading -fairy tales -story elements -sight word: we -word family: -en -day and night -writing to entertain Math -review 2D and 3D shapes -comparing shapes Thank you to everyone who donated food to our Food Drive and items for our older students to create care packages for the homeless. There is nothing more important than teaching our children to care about others. I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving with your family and friends. Reading -sight word: go -short vowels -Thanksgiving -writing to entertain Math -review of 2D and 3D shapes -building shapes We have been busy preparing for our Thanksgiving Play. I hope everyone will be able to join us in our classroom on Thursday, November 15th, at 1:00 PM. Please don’t be late because it isn’t very long and you will miss it. After the play, we will celebrate with a small feast. Thank you to everyone who signed up to bring something to share. On Friday, November 16th, is Thankful for Books Day. We will participate in reading activities all day. Children are encouraged to either dress up as a book character or in their favorite PJs. Upcoming Events Nov. 15 – Sign and Return Papers, Thanksgiving Play (1 PM) Nov. 16 – Thankful for Books Day, Dolvin Discovery Lab (11:35 AM) Nov. 19-23 – Thanksgiving Break NO SCHOOL Have a wonderful weekend!! On Friday, Nov. 16th, we will be participating in Thankful for Books Day. Students will be participating in reading activities all day. Students are encouraged to either dress up as their favorite book character or to wear their PJs to school. It will be a fun way to end our week before the Thanksgiving break!
