This week we talked about President's Day and we researched George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. We talked about the role of a president. During math, we decomposed numbers less than 10 into pairs (3+2=5, 1+4=5).
Next week we will cover the following skills: Reading -sight word: come -word family: -op -American symbols (flag, Statue of Liberty, White House, etc.) Math -finding missing numbers that make 10 (3+_=10) Thank you to everyone who participated in International Day. We all loved the parade and really enjoyed learning more about different countries during the rotations. Thank you to the volunteers who shared their time and information about their country with us!! Please make sure you return the enrollment information for next year. This is very important in order to help us make plans for next year. On March 10th, we are going on a field trip to the Teaching Museum. Please be sure to return the signed permission slip. On March 2nd, we will celebrate Dr. Seuss with reading rotations in each Kindergarten class. We will need a few supplies for this special day. Please keep an eye out for a Sign Up Genius for needed supplies. Picture Day is on Wednesday. All children will have their picture taken and you will have a chance to either purchase the individual pictures or return them when they come in. We will also take a class picture. If you want to order a class picture, you need to order it before Picture Day. Order forms went home this week. Thank you for the beautiful flowers and cards for Teacher Appreciation last week! Have a wonderful weekend!
