Happy Friday! We had another fun week in Kindergarten! The highlight of the week definitely included visiting the Book Fair to preview books and bringing our favorite stuffed animal friend today! We also enjoyed the beautiful weather outside at recess today.
Next Thursday, we will visit the Book Fair again in order to buy books. If you would like your child to buy books, please either send your child with cash or set up an e-wallet for them. There are many wonderful books available to help you build your home library. Next week we will cover the following skills: Reading: letters: g and m, rhyming words, story elements, retelling a story, making connections to a story, sounding out CVC words Writing: personal narratives, writing letters Social Studies: Labor Day Math: review of all shapes, comparing shapes, finding shapes in our environment, making new shapes out of shapes Please continue to practice identifying letters/sounds and sight words. Please also review shapes using the shape cards we sent home. When reading aloud to your child, ask questions about the events in the book to check for comprehension. If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out. Have a wonderful weekend!!
